Partners: The Movie II (2010)



A hostage case occurs in the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police Department. Head of the Metropolitan Police Department Tamaru (Toru Shinagawa), second in charge Muneo Hasegawa (Jun Kunimura) and 12 other high ranking officers are all held hostage in the conference room. A police squad and SIT (special investigation team) surround the conference room. The motive of a hostage taker is not clear. The first person aware of the hostage situation is Takeru Kanbe (Mitsuhiro Oikawa) who accidentally bumped into the hostage taker. Takeru then contacts partner Ukyo Sugishita (Takeru Kanbe). Ukyo thinks the most important thing is to know what’s occuring inside conference room. With the help of Mamoru Yonezawa (Seiji Rokkaku) of the crime laboratory investigation section and Kohei Jinkawa (Ryuuji Harada ) from ex-special command team, Ukyo works out a secret plan.



October Sonata (2010)



Sangchan is a girl working in a factory who falls in love with an attractive guy named Rawee. As Rawee has to go study abroad, he keeps a promise of coming back to see Sangchan on October, 8th of each year. While Rawee is away, Sangchan who anticipates to see him has a chance to befriend to Lim, another guy who admires her. Now it is the test of love, faith, and vow that Sangchan has to make through.

The duo, assisted by Madam Tie (Sandra Ng) and Lok (Lu Yi) decide to go undercover in order to protect June.During the protection period Fang will be one of the pageants participating in the event while Madam Tie gets involved with the organisers for the pageant competition. Lok and Dan will portray themselves as stylist and make-up artist respectively.

My Best Bodyguard (2010)



In 2002, SARS killed over 800 people. Then, in 2007, the bird flu broke out and killed over 60 of those infected. In early 2009, the swine flu virus infected 2,400 and killed over 40 in one month alone. Those viruses are from animals? What if the viruses come from human? Here we are in Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. A new virus is about to emerge, a virus that could kill the whole nation in the blink of an eye. The information of the virus is sent to Nicha, a famous news reporter from Thailand. The closer she gets to the truth, the more she is in danger. She finally found out that the virus was actually caused by a foreign medicine company that used 7 people for the experiment instead of the lab rats. Nicha wanted to stop these practices for the sake of human rights. She wanted to inform the public about the source of the virus and expose the inhumane practices of the company. She started her investigation by searching for the 7 individuals used as the lab rats. One of the human lab rats has the blood that cures the rest. In the middle of Nicha’s search, which is actively hindered by the foreign medicine company, the government has a secret mission to kill all of the seven “lab rats”. Nicha has to find them to protect them. Their fate, and the survival of the nation is in her hands, but time is running out fast.

The Drummond Will (2010)



Two city-boy brothers, one a charismatic optimist, the other a whining corporate sell-out, return to the countryside for their father's funeral. On checking out his decrepit estate the boys find one of their dad's ancient friends hiding in a closet with a bag full money. Whilst they decide what to do the pensioner is left to suffocate in the closet, leaving them with a much bigger problem to deal with; tell the police, or leave the body in his own home and pretend nothing happened (keeping the money in the process). This opens their world up to a series of bizarre incidents resulting in the village's quirky population gently decreasing during their short stay.

The Bang Bang Club (2010)



The Bang Bang Club was a name primarily associated with four photographers active within the townships of South Africa during the Apartheid period, particularly between 1990 and 1994, from when Nelson Mandela was released from jail to the 1994 elections. Kevin Carter, Greg Marinovich, Ken Oosterbroek, and João Silva were the four associated with the name, although a number of photographers and photojournalists worked alongside them (such as James Nachtwey and Gary Bernard). A movie about the group, directed by Steven Silver and starring Taylor Kitsch, Ryan Phillippe and Malin Åkerman, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2010.

Vengeance Can Wait (2010)



In a row of wooden municipal houses in the countryside, Hidenori Yamane (Tadanobu Asano) & Nanase Ogawa (Minami) lives together under the same roof. The roommates co-exist in a tense & awkward state. Every night Hidenori hides in the attic and peeks through a hole into Nanase’s room, while thinking of the cruelest ways to inflict revenge. Meanwhile, Nanase, who wears outdated sweaters and glasses, refers to Hidenori as her “brother” (even though they are not related) and is aware he is peeking at her at night. They sleep on the same bunk bed but do not have sex. There was a case that happened 10 years ago and since that time Nanase awaits for the worst form of punishment. One day, a couple moves into their neighborhood and a delicate crack starts to emerge between their closed off relationship.
